3 Simple Ways to Add Fun to Your Instagram Feed

One of the reasons we love social media here at Social Savvy is because it’s fun. Let’s not be mistaken, it’s an amazingly powerful marketing tool but it’s also fun to use!



 

With every new feature, we find another reason to fall a little bit more in love with Instagram. Here are three simple ways you can add more fun to your Instagram feed and improve your Instagram marketing

 

1. Get creative with IGTV.

IGTV is Instagram’s latest feature and Instagrammers have been loving it! IGTV consists of channels, much like Youtube. Anyone with an Instagram account can create a channel.

 

IGTV videos can be longer than the single minute videos on your feed. For every day users, videos can be between 15 seconds and 10 minutes. For big brands and larger, verified accounts, videos can be 60 minutes. This means you can get creative with the types of videos you share, from a quick behind the scenes clips to full-on Q&A sessions.

 

Unlike stories, IGTV videos don’t disappear. They stay until you actually delete them. This can be a really cool tool for brands or creatives who want to experiment with video without a huge overhead investment.

 

Since they are just getting started, we have a feeling we’re going to be learning a lot about the best practices of IGTV in the coming weeks and months but for now, why not try to hop on and create your own channel?

 

2. Use all the features in stories.

Instagram stories are the quicker snapshots of your day-to-day that you share with your followers. Instagram has introduced so many new and cool features to stories that you should be using to make the most of the app.

 

You can now add music to your stories so if you’re feeling inspired by a particular song or want to start a dance party among your followers, you can add music by tapping the music button. They have a wide variety of music available that can spice up your stories.

 

You can also get interactive with stories these days with the question feature or the poll feature. With the question feature, you can prompt your followers to ask you a question. Those watching the story can type their questions into the text box in the sticker. You will be able to see the questions asked in the corner where it shows those who viewed your story. To respond to a question , you can tap their question and it will create a new story.

 

Instagram also offers polls so you can how your users vote for their favorite products, services or general opinions in your story.

 

3. Experiment with the media of your posts.

Instagram lets you upload so much more than just static photos these days and if you want to make your feed a little livelier, try experimenting with your feed by adding boomerangs or videos. These are little features but Instagram is evolving and in order to stay relevant in the feed, you’ll want to be experimenting and adding as much as you can to your feed.


 

Instagram, much like all social media platforms, are always going to keep evolving. You can make the most of it and reach more women customers with social media by being willing to test these new features and grow along with the platform.
